In January, we incorporated the Kindermusik Program into our STEAM curriculum. Students love this new creative outlet. Our teachers help your child develop the “steady beat” concept at all age levels through lap bounces, instrument play, and dancing.
“Steady beat gives children the ability to walk effortlessly, speak expressively, and even regulate repeated motions such as riding a bicycle, brushing teeth, or dribbling a ball,” according to Kindermusik.
While movement to the beat is instinctive, children often need support when learning to control their movements. Children following along or creating their own movement is essential to a child’s growth. The motor skills developed and refined through programs like these set the foundation for a love of movement
